Big Sky Winterfest

The Big Sky Winterfest is an annual event that features cross-country skiing and snowshoe races. Winterfest also includes The day consists of six races around a 1K loop, a 4-person team relay, a dog ski-jorring race, and an adult pulling a child in a sled race, a snowshoe ‘shuffle’, three-legged races and an anything that glides event.

Located in an indoor arena, the two-day Big Sky Rodeo occurs on the 4th of July weekend. Cowboys from all over the country compete in the competition. Events include bull riding, team roping and barrel racing. The arena is located at 320 Ranch, 12 miles south of Big Sky on Highway 191, mile marker 36.
